07 Straight answers

Does she sound like a person?

Most callers never ask. The ones who do get told straight — she says she's an assistant, not a person, and offers to have you ring back. You heard that happen in the third recording above.

What if she doesn't know the answer?

She doesn't guess. She takes the name, the number and what's wrong, tells them you'll come back to them, and puts it on your phone. A wrong answer costs you more than no answer.

Do I have to change my number?

No. You keep the number that's on the van and on your invoices. It forwards to Ciara when you don't pick up, instead of going to voicemail. Nothing to install, no new handset.

Will she quote prices or promise a time?

Never. No price, no ballpark, no arrival time — in any trade. She takes the job and tells them you'll ring back to sort the money and the timing yourself.

What if she gets something wrong?

Tell us and we change it, same day. Every call is recorded, so you can hear exactly what was said rather than take our word for it.

Am I tied into anything?
